It was officially announced at EA’s Gamescom press conference today. A free to play Warhammer game is in the makings. It’s called Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes. It’s a fast-paced three team combat, 6 vs. 6 vs. 6 game that lets you choose your characters on-the-fly.
Warhammer Onine: Wrath of Heroes is part of EA’s efforts to release Play4Free games. Game is slated to be released in the Fall.
EA announced that a new free-to-play game is under development by EA’s Easy studio. As you play the game, you will learn new combat skills and earn in-game currency which will allow you to buy “a massive array of devastating weapons and equipment. The free-to-play shooter will bring “the most popular maps from Battlefield 2 with the familiar classes and powerful weapons of Battlefield: Bad Company.”
Battlefield Play4Free will be expected to be out in Spring 2011 and closed Beta will start on November 30th.
